In 1991, a baby boy, Damian Stevens, was born in Eagle Lake, Texas. He accepted Christ at an early age at New Home Missionary Baptist Church in Garwood, Texas under the leadership of Dr. Kenneth Wicks.
Damian was a graduate of Rice Consolidated High School where he was an outstanding athlete and member of Future Farmers of America (FFA). He could be found on the football field or somewhere raising a hog for his FFA project. Damian was talented in football, baseball, and track. He received a football scholarship and attended Blinn Junior College in Brenham, Texas. He later transferred to Sul Ross State University to pursue a degree in Kinesiology.
Damian knew no stranger. He was always there to comfort and protect and his BIG smile always lit up the room. He loved to do freestyle battles and was a true comedian telling jokes with friends. Damian’s true passion was his love for his daughter, Irissa. Damian will be truly missed by all.
Damian passed away on September 25, 2021. He leaves to cherish his loving memories a daughter, Irissa; fiancée, Sabrina; mother, Bridgette (Arthur); father, Derrick (Denise); grandmothers: Lillian and JoAnn; ten siblings: Darnesheia, Jada, Jaevon, Darius, Dante, Felice, Jaylon, Tristan, Bryttain, and Daeguan; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
To celebrate Damian's life, the family has entrusted the professional services to Ben Davis Funeral Home, 931 Preston St., Columbus, TX 78934.
