Jounescine E. Johnson

Jounescine Eugene Johnson was born in Clinton, Oklahoma as the only child. She moved to Bakersfield, California at an early age then she moved to Houston, Texas in 2004. She met and married her soul mate, Thurston Johnson, in 2009.

At an early age, Jounescine accepted the Lord and Savior. She was so full of life. She enjoyed loving all neighborhood children, giving to Christian organizations, and hosting family functions at her home all while still enjoying her life. Her joyous life included her love for shopping, cooking and family gatherings. She had a favorite saying of "here's to the duck that swims the lake and never lost a feather. If I don't find the one I love, I am going to drink this mess forever.

Sadly, Jounescine departed this life. She leaves to cherish her memories her loving husband, Thurston Johnson; her children: Clarence Sr. (Nicole), Langston, Meliza (James) Idlebird, Jim Langton, Franklin (Tenea) Langston, Essex (Rhonda) Johnson and Goddaughter, Mone' Hinkle; sisters-in-law: Tenola Johnson, Yvette Fergerson, and Paula Powell (Issac); brothers-in-law: Laymond Johnson, McKinely Powell, and Rickey Powell (Terrsa); along with 36 grandkids, 21 great grandkids, and a host of other relatives and friends.
