In 1932, a baby girl was born to Walter and Rosie Howard of Matthews, Texas, whom they named Juanita Howard. She attended E.H. Henry High School. At an early age, she accepted Christ under the leadership of Rev. O. Ford.
Juanita, affectionately called “NuNu,” was blessed with six children. In conjunction with being a loving and caring mother, Juanita supported her family working as a housekeeper as well as Richmond State School. Later in life, Juanita married Claud Hudson and to this union, no children were born. They remained married until his passing.
During her pastime, Juanita loved cooking and everyone enjoyed her food. She especially loved children and always gave a helping hand in the rearing of children. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed.
Sadly, Juanita passed away on January 24, 2022. She leaves to cherish her memories four sons: Otis (Lavera), Isaac (Marilyn), Stanley (Brenda), and Vernon (Paula); one daughter, Bea; grandchildren she helped to raise: Kisha, Yakky, Peanie, ToShay, Telina, Bre, Missey, Jeremy, Rell, Brittnee, Kee, and MeMe; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
To celebrate Juanita's life, the family has entrusted the professional services to Ben Davis Funeral Home, 931 Preston St., Columbus, TX 78934.
