Larry Henderson, Jr., affectionately called “Lakeside” by his brothers and fellow truck drivers, was born in 1977, to his loving parents, Larry Henderson, Sr. and Katherine Scott-Henderson in Eagle Lake, TX.
Larry was baptized at an early age at White Cloud Baptist Church under the leadership of Rev. Obie Rhodes.
He graduated from Rice Consolidated School District, class of 1996. He was active in basketball, football, and track, and was involved in Future Farmers of America (FFA).
He enjoyed riding horses, raising cattle, BBQing for most family events, but most of all trucking. Larry started driving trucks at an early age. In 2016, Larry started his own trucking company, “Henderson Haulers LLC.”
Larry met Bianca Cantu and with this union was born his oldest daughter, Jasia Adara Cantu. He later met and married Darilyn “Peaches” Henderson and together, they created a baby girl, Arlesia La’Reé Henderson, and a son, Larry “Bubba” Henderson, III. He was able to effectively co-parent with both Bianca and Peaches. He then later married Kishon Henderson.
Sadly, Larry Henderson, Jr. passed on September 5, 2023. He leaves to cherish his memories three children: Jasia Cantu, Arlesia Henderson, and Larry “Bubba” Henderson, III (Sadie); one grandson, Bryson Henderson; mother, Katherine Henderson; three siblings: Kendrick Henderson (Jameshia), Shaundra Henderson Jacobs (Jeff), and David Wayne Henderson, Sr. (Linda); and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
