Melba Jean Bilbo

Melba Jean Damon was born to Pauline and Virgil Damon in Houston, Texas. Melba lived in Houston, TX for a little while and relocated to Louisiana where she met her husband, George Bilbo. They stayed in Louisiana until life’s journey called them to move forward in life. Melba had four children. For several years, Melba worked at UTMB in Galveston and was a caregiver in Houston, TX. 

In 2014, Melba found Christ and knew that the good Lord loved her, and she loved Him. On April 5, 2023, God called Melba home to be with Him. She is survived by three children: Marvin Bowman of Livingston, TX, Laura R. Bankston (James Jr.) of Eagle Lake, TX, and Felicia R. Clark (Spencer Sr.); fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
