Rance Johnson, Jr. was born in Eagle Lake, Texas in 1946. He accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized under the leadership of the late Rev. O.D. Ford at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, where he was a member. Later in his life, he joined Greater Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church under Pastor Dave Curry. Rance received his education from E.H. Henry High School in Eagle Lake, Texas.
While in Bay City, Texas, Rance worked as a farmer for Burnside Farm, and eventually worked at STP Nuclear Plant as a construction worker. In 1998, Rance moved to Palacious, Texas where he worked fifteen years for Tommy Hunt as a farmer. He retired in 2015 and enjoyed fishing, hunting, and dominoes.
Rance married his wife, Marjorie and this union was blessed with nineteen years of love and laughter.
On January 3, 2022, God called his son, Rance Johnson, Jr., home to rest. He leaves to cherish his loving memories his wife, Marjorie; eight children: Mabeline (Robert), Pamela, Robert (Zena), Rance (Virginia), Ollie (Stacey), Jack, Linda (Dennis), and Tanisha; one stepson, Henry; two sisters: Ira Lee and Willie Lee; one brother, Robert; and a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
