Ray Anthony Jones, age 50, an amazing husband, son, brother, father, uncle, nephew, cousin, brother-in-law and friend passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, peacefully at home in Houston, TX.
Ray Anthony Jones was a beautiful joyful man, inside and out! There wasn’t a single person that didn’t love him, and I think that shows with everyone who is here.
Ray was born on January 20, 1973, in Houston, Texas at 12:08 a.m., the youngest of twins to parents Kirk Douglas Jones Sr. and Joyce Jones. Ray was baptized when he was 7-years old where he attended South Park Church of God.
When Ray was young, he attended Fairchild Elementary, Albert Thomas Middle School, and graduated from Ross Shaw Sterling High School in 1992.
Ray enjoyed bowling, music, singing, fishing, and liked hanging out with family and friends. He enjoyed traveling, dancing and was quite a jokester. His favorite food was Mexican food. Ray also loved “the rain”… he would sit outside when it rained, just to enjoy the peace. He was raised only knowing the love of family and friends.
Ray leaves to cherish his memory, wife, Letitia Rhae Jones and mother, Joyce Jones, three brothers, Gregory Jones Sr., Kirk Douglas Jones Jr., and Kenneth Brown, three children, Brielle Jones, Rayvhen Jones and Arayah Jones, two grandchildren Adrian and Ayden, and four nieces, Seymone, Gabrielle, Melaine and Madison, one nephew, Gregorie Jr. one great niece, Gianna, and one great nephew, Jaymeir along with several cousins, family and friends. Ray was preceded in death by his father, Kirk Douglas Jones Sr., two grandmothers, Ruby Ozen and Annie Jones, two grandfathers, Steve Ozen and Rufus Tillman, and one uncle, Royce Jones.
While Ray was taken too soon from our world, his imprint of who he was will never leave, Ray, until we meet again in Heaven, we will miss you.
