Sarah Renee Wilson was born in Eagle Lake, TX to Wilbert and Mary Anne Sims. She was the youngest of 6 children. In 1998, she graduated from RCSD in Altair, TX. She immediately joined the Academy Warehouse Team in Katy, TX where she developed lifelong friends and family.
In 2007, Sarah met her husband, LaDell Wilson, and they started a friendship that led into marriage. With their union, she gained a bonus son, Ty-Zay. Sarah stepped in beautifully as a new wife and bonus mom. She turned that house into a home bringing love, joy, and laughter to her home and family.
Sarah decided to step out in faith and leave her job to pursue her dreams of being a hairstylist and enrolled into Wharton County Junior College and became a licensed cosmetologist. Again, she left her mark on people that became family to her. After graduating she opened her Salon, “Make Me Over” which became a hub for Beauty, Love, and Empowerment. Make Me Over became the place where women were empowered, transformed, and equipped to be great. Her heart to empower was developed there.
During this time, Sarah and LaDell launched “Next Level Christian Church.” She became the light, the smile, the joy of the ministry. Another place where she gained more family. As Co-Pastor, she began to lead, preach, teach, hold conferences, and counsel. She also managed the family business, FastLane Express Lube, where she created a family atmosphere that spilled out to the customers and community. Her most current employment was KWI in their warehouse, where she again shined her light and made everyone better.
Sarah's gifts and hobbies kept her busy: hairstyling, tremendous make-up artist, and loved remodeling and decorating homes, and not to mention being a part time comedian. Her sense of humor and thunderous laugh will forever be in our hearts. Sarah passionately loved shopping, the beach (or any place there was water), and spending time with her friends and family. Sarah passionately loved her husband, bonus son, and the light of her life, her bonus grandson, Tyus.
On October 6, 2023, at Hermann Memorial Hospital, the Lord called Sarah home to be with Him. That day the Earth felt dimmer, and Heaven got brighter. She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, LaDell Wilson; bonus son, Ty-Zay Wilson; bonus grandson, Tyus Wilson (her heart); father, Wilbert Sims; three sisters: Corine Sims, Ollie Sims, and Denise Daniels; one brother, Gabriel Sims; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws, other relatives, and friends.
