Thomas Charles “Tree” Hargrove gained his wings on December 14th, 2022 at the age of 68. Born February 3rd, 1954 to Will Jr and Inolia Hargrove in Columbus. Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Will Jr and Inolia Hargrove, grandmother Willie Ellis, sister Jewel Dine Young, and brother Lloyd Young Jr. Thomas is survived by his wife Brenda Ford of Altair, sons Raymond A (Shauna) Ford of San Antonio, Brian T Ford of Freer, and Reginald D (Claudia) Ford of Columbus. Sister Linda (Roy) Smallwood of Houston. Brothers Larry Hargrove of Altair, James (Beverly) Hargrove of Columbus, and Michael (Dawn) Hargrove of Austin. Thomas is the uncle to several niece and nephews, including one special niece Brandy Young of Columbus. Thomas also adopted a family friend as his son, Quincy Freison of Columbus. Thomas was the proud grandfather of four and great-grandfather of two.
Thomas committed to Christ at an early age to Greater Smith Baptist Church. Thomas was a very proud resident of his hometown of Columbus. He was a ` faithful supporter of The Columbus Cardinals and the Dallas Cowboys. Thomas was also very well known for his dancing skills and the love he had for his family. He loved saying his famous phrase, “I’m a Hargrove boy”.
